SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters are working to contain a house fire on the city’s west side where a child was reportedly injured, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Crews were called to the 1000 block of Ferdinand Drive around 11:10 a.m. on Saturday after reports of a fire spreading to a home, SAFD said. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire at the rear of the residence.
Fire officials said the main body of the fire was quickly knocked down and crews continued checking the structure for any extension into other parts of the home. The incident remained active as of late morning.
