No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio firefighters were able to prevent a fire from spreading at a vacant apartment on the west side early Sunday morning.
It was reported around 1:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Military Drive not far from Buckhorn Road.
When first responders arrived at the complex, they found a single unit on the second floor on fire. SAFD crews worked quickly to battle the blaze and prevent it from spreading any further, saving the building from major damage.
The unit was vacant and the surrounding units were all evacuated.
No injuries were reported.
The cause is unknown at this time and is under investigation.
