An early-morning fire destroyed a two-story home on Robinwood Lane, but all residents escaped safely and firefighters prevented the flames from spreading.
SAN ANTONIO — A two-story home was destroyed in an early-morning fire on the north side of San Antonio Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called around 2:53 a.m. to the 16100 block of Robinwood Lane, near Huebner Road and Bitters Road, where they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the house, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Everyone inside the home made it out safely, officials said. The house, however, is considered a total loss.
Fire crews also had to deal with embers floating across the street, creating a risk to nearby homes. Firefighters quickly knocked down those hot spots to prevent the fire from spreading.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Fire investigators were en route to the scene.
