Firefighters say the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
SAN ANTONIO — A fire destroyed a home near San Antonio College early Thursday morning.
It was reported around 5:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Ogden Lane near McCullough Avenue just north of downtown.
Firefighters say the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. Crews had difficulty getting around inside the home because of the amount of stuff inside the home. Firefighters attacked the flames using an aerial duck gun.
Crews were able to contain the fire to just the one home, protecting homes on either side from the flames.
Eight units responded to the house fire. CPS Energy shut off the electricity to the home.
No word on what may have started the fire. No injuries were reported.
We have a crew at the scene and are working to gather more information.
This is a developing story.
