Officials say the home is a total loss.
SAN ANTONIO — Officials say that some homeless people trying to stay warm may be to blame for a fire that destroyed a home on the west side of town late Tuesday night.
It happened around 11:24 p.m. in the 700 block of South San Augustine Avenue near South General McMullen.
Firefighters arrived to find the small house fully engulfed in flames. The house was abandoned, officials say.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation but officials believe it was homeless people trying to keep warm.
The house was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
This is a developing story.
