SAN ANTONIO — A vacant home on the south side caught fire Friday afternoon, and this isn’t the first time, according to authorities.
San Antonio fire officials say they were called to a working fire at a home in the 2300 block of Hicks Avenue at about 12:45 p.m. The home was boarded up and vacant, according to officials. No electricity was active in the home.


Officials say they got reports that some kids might have been in and out of the home at the time. Arson investigators have been called to investigate.
This is not the first time this house has had a fire, authorities say, and the home may be planned for demolition for code compliance issues.
