SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters put out a housefire early Friday morning that they say was possibly caused by an electrical issue.

Officials were called out to a house in the 2900 block of Monterey Street around 1:44 a.m. for a fire.

The “stubborn” fire got up into the attic of the home. Fire officials also say the home had a metal roof.

The fire started in a breaker box that was feeding an EV charging station, according to officials. The cause is currently being deemed “accidental electrical.”

Both residents and pets were able to get out of the home and no injuries were reported.
