SAN ANTONIO — A toddler has been taken to the hospital after officials say the vehicle they were in was shot at while driving.
Officials were called to a QuikTrip gas station located in the 1400 block South Loop 1604 East just before 12 p.m. Tuesday.
Once there, they discovered a male toddler with an apparent gunshot wound to the arm. The toddler was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Officials say the alleged shooting happened while the vehicle the toddler was in was driving on the highway, not the QuikTrip.
Police say a black Honda pulled up next to the vehicle and started shooting. Police think there may have been up to two shooters.
The vehicle pulled over to the gas station following the shooting.
The toddler’s condition is currently unknown as of Tuesday afternoon.
