When firefighters arrived, there were flames shooting out of the back of the home.
SAN ANTONIO — Officials say a vacant home on the west side of town was heavily damaged by fire early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 1:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of Perez near West Martin Street.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames in the back of the house. They were able to extinguish it quickly.
Officials say the home was not occupied. No injuries were reported.
An investigation is underway to find out how it started.
