SAN ANTONIO — IMPACT DAYS: Thursday, July 10
Reason: Saharan dust may be significant enough to be very noticeable.
The breakdown
There will be some locally heavy downpours this weekend, leading to the possibility of isolated flooding, but not widespread enough for an impact day.
It will be seasonally hot and fairly humid over the next couple of weeks, but heat index values should stay below 105 degrees.
The challenge forecasting over the next several weeks is that computer models are forecasting highs in the 100’s by next week, but I think they are having a tough time resolving the amount of moisture in the soil.
There could be more Saharan dust around the 18th of the month.
No other days of interest.
