SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio ISD issued a letter to families after a man conducted himself inappropriately in front of students outside Brackenridge High School.
Monday, district officials said they wanted to inform parents and guardians about a “suspicious individual in the area.”
According to the letter, a man was reportedly seen across from the softball field near the river, and was acting inappropriately while students were nearby. The letter did not say what the man did.
SAPD and SAISD has been made aware of the allegations and have increased their presence in that particular area.
The district said SAISD officers are also increasing patrols around the school during arrival and dismissal times to enhance everyone’s safety.
“We will always act to protect our students, and we value their voices when they speak up. Safety is a top priority at SAISD schools, and we want to keep families informed of situations as soon as we are able,” said Principal Mandie Holtsford-Suarez in a statement.
SAISD encourages students to walk in groups and to always be aware of their surroundings. They are also asking students and families to alert the proper authorities when anything seems suspicious or out of place.
