Donors who give blood on June 6 at any South Texas Blood & Tissue center will get a UTSA t-shirt just in time to support the Roadrunners baseball team.
The front of the blue t-shirt reads “Birds Up! Sleeves Up! Get Rowdy & Give Blood.”
UTSA recently won the program’s first NCAA Baseball Regional and advanced to the Super Regional after beating their in-state rival, the Texas Longhorns.
Officials with South Texas Blood & Tissue say one donation can help up to three people in need.
According to nationwide research, there is a steady decline in blood donations during the hotter months.
