SAN ANTONIO — Donors could win a free night at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo!
Organizers with South Texas Blood & Tissue said anyone who donates blood through Feb. 21 will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win two lower-level tickets to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and see Shane Smith and the Saints on Feb. 28.
According to America’s Blood Centers, more than a quarter of the nation’s blood supply goes to patients battling cancer. Every year, more than 2 million people are diagnosed with cancer, many of whom will need transfusions during treatment.
Officials said 5-year-old Aleyda is one of the people who needs transfusions, which helps with her energy.
“It’s like a switch flips,” Aleyda’s mother said. “It’s thanks to generous donors that Aleyda can keep fighting with strength and love.”
