A San Antonio entrepreneur says Frank Mora III scammed him out of $2,000 by posing as a Fiesta organizer.
SAN ANTONIO — A man who is accused of impersonating a Fiesta organizer has allegedly stolen thousands.
Frank Mora III is now a wanted fugitive and authorities need your help finding him.
Mora has been to jail multiple times, accused of tricking people to get their money. Now, one San Antonio entrepreneur says Mora’s the man who got him into a Fiesta frenzy.
Not wanting to be identified for his safety – the atm business owner thought a couple months back when Mora, who he knew as “Joe,” approached him – he’d gotten the deal of the year.
“He said he was one of the higher-ups with Fiesta and he’d love me to be involved in fiesta with my ATMS,” the man said.
He says Mora, a.k.a Joe, needed $4,000, but suddenly, in a rush, he demanded half.
After giving him the two grand and some back and forth, he took to Google and saw Mora’s mugshot.
“I said, ‘Look, I just need my two thousand dollars, and we can go our separate ways.’ Then all communication stopped,” said the local entrepreneur.
It’s not the first time he’s been accused of carrying out similar scams.
In a 2018 affidavit, Mora is accused of taking over $6,000 from an elderly man after promising to sell him a car that the victim never laid their hands on.
Then in 2022, a guy who just wanted a taco from Mora’s taco truck accused Mora of stealing thousands.
A police report says the victim used his credit card, then a few days later saw Mora charged $2,000 on it.
Authorities said he told the victim they’d bought a catering service from him – which they claim to have never done. That victim never saw their money again.
Records show Mora goes by Frank Mora III, Pancho, Danny Orozco and Joe.
“There are scammers out there all the time – sure, there are others out there; it’s unfortunate this happened,” the local entrepreneur said.
