The San Antonio Humane Society is waiving adoption fees on all cats and kittens on Sunday during its Rescue Bowl weekend celebration.
SAN ANTONIO — If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, this weekend might be the purr-fect time.
The San Antonio Humane Society is teaming up with North Shore Animal League America to celebrate the Great American Rescue Bowl 2026 with a special adoption event that puts cats and kittens in the spotlight.
The shelter is bringing back “Sosy & Sasha’s Touchdown Cat & Kitten Adoption Special,” where adoption fees will be waived for all cats and kittens on Sunday, February 8.
The event coincides with the annual Rescue Bowl program, airing on Super Bowl Sunday, which highlights heartwarming rescue stories and reminds viewers that every adoption is a winning play.
Shelter staff hope the weekend will help more animals find loving homes — and maybe even a cozy spot on someone’s couch for game day.
The adoption center is located at 4804 Fredericksburg Road and is open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
