San Antonio International Airport breaks record for its busiest day ever over Spring Break

The previous record for the airport’s busiest day was set last summer.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio International Airport (SAT) took to social media today to celebrate a record-breaking Spring Break.

Airport officials estimate an approximate 347,140 passengers flew in and out of the airport from Mar. 8 through 17. That’s 10% up from last year, according to SAT.

Additionally, the airport says the record for their busiest day ever was also broken on Mar. 8, with an estimated 41,632 passengers.

Previously, the airport’s busiest single day was Jul. 31 of 2023, with 41,560 passengers traveling through the airport.

These record-breaking numbers reflect the rapid growth of the airport since 2023. SAT recently unveiled a new brand, marking a significant milestone in the airport’s history.
