SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added a San Antonio man to their “Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List.”
Authorities have been searching for 65-year-old John Lynch Goodwin since March 2025 after he allegedly failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
DPS also said an arrest warrant was issued for Goodwin in 2024 for unlawful possession of synthetic marijuana; along with a 1988 conviction for two counts of aggravated sexual assault against a six and 14-year-old. He spent 20 years in confinement for his crimes.
In 2020, DPS said Goodwin was convicted for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements and spent another 5 years in confinement before being discharged in April 2024.
Goodwin is reportedly 5-foot-7, weighs approximately165 pounds, has tattoos on his face, cheek, back, both arms, left finger, right thigh, chest and both arms.
