
A suspect is accused of threatening a clerk during a theft on Babcock Road.
SAN ANTONIO — Police have arrested a San Antonio man accused of threatening to shoot and kill a gas station clerk during a robbery, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The robbery occurred March 27 at a Shell gas station on Babcock Road near Balcones Heights, police said.
Investigators said Joe Raymond Chapa, 27, entered the store with another man and began taking several packs of beer without paying.
When the clerk confronted him, Chapa threatened to shoot and kill the clerk, police said.
Detectives reviewed store surveillance video and identified Chapa as the suspect, according to police. He has been charged with robbery.
