ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A San Antonio man was killed in a snowboarding accident at a New Mexico resort over the weekend, according to resort officials.
Angel Fire Resort confirmed in a press release that 21-year-old Koby Hunter passed away Saturday morning. His cause and manner of death are still pending an autopsy.
Resort officials said emergency crews responded to the incident on the “Hully Gully” ski run where Hunter was taken in an ambulance to the Colfax County Airport to be transported to a hospital in Albuquerque. Prior to transport, Hunter was pronounced deceased.
“Angel Fire Resort and the entire Angel Fire community extend our deepest sympathies and support to the family and friends of our guest at this difficult time,” said John Kitts, Angel Fire Resort CEO.
Boerne High School Boys Basketball responded to Hunter’s tragic passing in a Facebook post on Sunday, offering condolences to friends and family of the former Greyhound.
