Michael Moore was sentenced to concurrent 50-year terms for two murders and 20 years for aggravated assault in connection with the shooting, court records show.
SAN ANTONIO — A 22-year-old San Antonio man was sentenced to decades in prison after killing two people and injuring two others in a Thanksgiving morning shooting in 2024.
Michael Moore was arrested after gunshots rang out at a home in the 600 block of Potomac Street, near North New Braunfels and East Crockett. Two men in their 20s were killed at the scene, according to officials.
Authorities at the time said Moore used a handgun.
Moore pleaded no contest Wednesday to two counts of murder and a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to online court records. On the same day, he received separate 50-year sentences for his murder charges and 20 years for the aggravated assault offense; the district attorney’s office said he will serve them concurrently.
Bexar County DA Joe Gonzales in a statement thanked those who helped bring justice in the case.
“Their dedication and collaboration have been crucial in ensuring the defendant is held accountable for his actions, providing justice for the victims and our community,” Gonzalez is quoted as saying.
