SAN ANTONIO — A man who arranged to buy items from an online seller was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday on the far west side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Police said officers were called around 12:50 a.m. to the 5200 block of Rogers Road for a report of a robbery involving an individual.

The 24-year-old buyer told police he had contacted the seller online and agreed to meet in person to purchase the items, SAPD said. When the suspect arrived, they showed the merchandise and the buyer sent payment electronically.

According to police, the suspect then pulled out a handgun, prompting the victim to run away on foot. The suspect left the area in an unknown vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

This is a developing story.
