Charles Alexander Lopez, 30, was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography in 2023.
SAN ANTONIO — A man has been sentenced to 65 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting three children, according to the Department of Justice.
Charles Alexander Lopez, 30, said in a group chat on “Wickr” that he was engaged in the sexual abuse of minor children in October 2023, according to court documents.
Lopez posted two sexually explicit images and a video to the group on Oct. 23 along with a message saying, “my conquest for the day.” The material involved a male toddler.
An undercover FBI agent then interacted with Lopez in a private chat. In the chat, Lopez told the agent that he also victimized a female toddler a few days earlier and that he has also exploited a non-verbal autistic male child.
On Oct. 26, FBI San Antonio conducted a search warrant for his home, obtaining devices that he used to produce, distribute and possess child pornography.
Lopez admitted to sexually exploiting a male toddler and using his phone to produce and share CSAM. He also said he has assaulted 15 minors since he was 10 years old and produced CSAM with about five children.
Lopez was arrested on Oct. 27 and was indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography on Nov. 15.
On Feb. 10, 2025, Lopez pled guilty to the three sexual exploitation charges.
On Monday, Lopez was sentenced to 65 years in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution to three of his victims.
