The Missions will take the field wearing jerseys from high schools impacted by the devastating floods, and game-worn autographed jerseys will be auctioned off.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Missions have announced they will be hosting a game to raise funds for those impacted by the deadly Fourth of July floods.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, the Missions will take the field wearing jerseys from impacted high schools like Comfort, Center Points, Ingram and Athens high schools.

Owner and former Spurs player Manu Ginobili will reportedly be throwing out the first pitch to a student athlete from one of the schools.

The jerseys from the game will be autographed and auctioned of at the game. The proceeds will go to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and support the field restoration of Ingram Little League through a partnership with the round Rock Express, Nolan Ryan Foundation and RS3 Turf.

“The Missions are actively working with MLB and the San Diego Padres on ways to involve fans across the country in relief efforts,” the baseball club said.
