San Antonio mom creates coloring book in honor of son who passed in accidental drowning

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio mom is releasing a new water safety coloring book to help families on the seven year anniversary of her son passing away.

Three year old Mitchell Chang passed away after he was found unresponsive in the deep end of a pool at a swim school in Stone Oak.

The book talks about different situations where children are around water and the right things to do and have to stay safe having fun.

The Mitchell Chang foundation made the water safety coloring book so kids and parents can complete different activities as a reminder to be safe in the water.

On each coloring page, you can scan a QR code to get online info on swimming safety.

You can also submit your kids work online to be a featured artist.

The goal is to make water safety easy to remember for kids and parents.

The foundation wants to reduce drownings by making this information accessible to everyone.
