SAN ANTONIO — The weather is still pretty chilly, which means this weekend is the perfect time to head out for a movie and some popcorn.
Sunday, Jan. 19, is National Popcorn day and several San Antonio area theaters are celebrating by offering customers deals on the iconic movie snack.

Santikos
The local San Antonio movie chain is offering a deal for a large tub of popcorn for $4 on Sunday. In addition, you can score a Solo Deal for a discounted price of $11 and a Mega Deal for $18. Best of all, its “popcorn for a cause!” Profits from Santikos Theatres go to benefit charitable organizations around the San Antonio area.
Cinemark Theaters
This movie theater chain is offering a twist on Popcorn Day, by offering to fill up any customer’s popcorn bucket for only $5. The only rules for the “Bring Your Own Bucket” deal are that the bucket must be clean and not exceed 400 ounces (the equivalent of two XL popcorns). So if you got some of those specialty buckets for the Barbie movie, Wicked, Dune, etc, bring them over for a budget-friendly refill! The cinema is also offering a 10% discount on gift cards in honor of National Popcorn Day.
Regal Theaters
