SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Pets Alive!’s Medical Care and Adoption Center at 9107 Marbach Road, Suite 109 is asking for the community’s help after Wednesday’s storms have caused their ceiling to leak severely.
The organization says flooding is making parts of the building unsafe for the animals.
“This is a 9-1-1 situation for us,” said Kristy Ward, Director of Marketing and Events for San Antonio Pets Alive! “We’re doing everything we can, but we urgently need help from our community. The roof is leaking badly, and flooding is making parts of our center unsafe for the animals.”
The organization goes on to say they are in critical need of at least 15 short-term fosters to help relocate dogs starting Thursday morning through the afternoon.
“With more rain in the forecast through Friday, the situation is expected to worsen, and we must act fast to keep our pups safe,” said Ward.
The organization says you can help by signing up as a short-term foster to house a dog in need or share this message with friends, family and across social media.
Contact Kristy Ward by calling 210-551-7270, or via email at kristy.ward@sanantoniopetsalive.org to coordinate foster pickups and learn more.
