Two hilariously named pets are turning heads—and votes—as the internet decides the wackiest names of 2026.
SAN ANTONIO — If you thought your pet had a weird name…you might want to sit this one out.
Meet Goofus McDoof Business Horse—a tiny orange kitten with a name so ridiculous, it somehow makes perfect sense. The feline, inspired by a deep-cut reference from the TV show American Dad, has galloped his way into the 2026 “wacky pet name” competition.
According to his owner, Goofus was found as a kitten after falling out of an engine bay—and now lives life like a “tiny horse,” prancing around and occasionally standing on his human’s head while they sleep. Yes, really.
“Due to illness as a kitten, he got used to being shoulder carried and pat on the back like an infant to help with respiratory issues—so, he now requires that multiple times a day,” sid his human dad Nick.
But he’s not the only contender making people laugh.
There’s also Internet Browser—a dog whose name is just as chaotic as the internet itself. Known affectionately as “I-browse” (because of her very expressive eyebrows), she’s earned a reputation as the household “PDA police,” interrupting hugs so she can get the attention instead.
Like any online browser, Internet Brower’s secretly all about surveillance. “We call her the PDA police, because if anyone hugs, she tries to break it up so she can get the hug instead,” her human mom Shannon says.
And true to her name? She’s apparently still “buffering” when confused… and absolutely refuses to go outside if it’s wet.
Both pets are part of a national contest celebrating the most creative—and downright absurd—pet names out there.
