SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police hoping to get new information on an unsolved murder from six years ago.

25-year-old Oscar Alan Thompson was shot in the head while driving a friend home on the westside.

Police have background on where Alan was leading up to his final moments. They also believe they have the suspects vehicle.

A flyer released by SAPD says police believe a maroon Ford Expedition followed Thompson from Sugar’s Nightclub and someone opened fire on his truck.

Multiple rounds hit Thompson’s truck, and one of those rounds hit Thompson in the back of the head.

In an past interview, Thompson’s mother Teresa told us he was taking a friend home after a fight at the club.

She says Thompson was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

“He had such a great smile and brought joy and an energy to every room he came in,” said Teresa Thompson. “I hope someone takes that money and makes our family complete.”

Teresa says her son moved to San Antonio for work a year before he was killed.

He was in the hospital for a week before he was taken off life support.

This year, Thompson would have been 32 years old.

$100,000 is being offered for anyone having information that leads to an arrest.
