San Antonio police investigate deadly shooting on city’s north side

SAPD said a man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a fatal shooting that investigators say occurred during a disturbance Thursday evening on the city’s north side.

According to SAPD, officers were called to the 12200 block of Ridge Crown around 5:48 p.m. after reports of a disturbance involving two adult men.

During the altercation, one round was fired, police said. One man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man involved, also believed to be in his 30s, was detained as officers worked to determine what led up to the shooting, SAPD said. The relationship between the two men remains unknown.

The incident is still under investigation. No additional injuries were reported.

Police have not released the identities of the men or announced any charges at this time.
