SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian on the west side Wednesday morning.
Police were called to Suzette Avenue and Historic Old Highway 90 for a fatal collision that occurred before 6 a.m.
Authorities said a man in his 20s was walking along the west side of the road and crossed the street outside of a crosswalk when a white SUV, driving westbound, hit the man. The driver slowed down after hitting the man and then fled the scene.
Police said a second vehicle driving behind the white SUV also ran over the man and stopped to call police. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area as investigators work the scene.
