SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio police officer was transported to a hospital for minor, non-life-threatening injuries on Saturday after he was dragged by a vehicle during a traffic stop.
Officials say officers observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near the 1200 block of Roosevelt Avenue, and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle.
During the stop, an officer noticed a firearm in the back seat of the suspect’s vehicle and attempted to remove it.
Officials say that’s when the suspect sped off, dragging the officer and fleeing the scene toward an unknown direction.
