San Antonio police seek suspect in December theft of shelter dog ‘Rambo’

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department is currently looking for a suspect in connection to the theft of a shelter dog that occurred back in December 2025. 

According to a post by SAPD, an unidentified man entered the ACS campus on Dec. 26 and took a shelter dog named “Rambo” from his kennel before fleeing the location on foot. Police did not say how the man was able to enter the location. 

SAPD has partnered with San Antonio Animal Care Services (SAACS), and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is encouraged to contact SAPD at 210-207-7273.
