San Antonio police track down suspects in north-side robbery spree

SAPD said a 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were taken into custody.

SAN ANTONIO — Two suspects were taken into custody after police say they carried out back-to-back robberies on the north side early Saturday morning, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers were first called around 5:02 a.m. to the 1200 block of I-35 North for a reported robbery-in-progress, SAPD said. When officers arrived, they confirmed a robbery had occurred.

While investigating that incident, police said they received information about another robbery actively taking place nearby in the 1300 block of Nacogdoches Road.

Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspects and their vehicle, described by investigators as a 2023 gray Jeep.

Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, taking a 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman into custody.

SAPD said the investigation remains active and all information is preliminary.
