SAN ANTONIO — The largest Martin Luther King Jr. march in the country is once again set to make its way through San Antonio.
For 39 years, the city has hosted the annual event honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., drawing tens of thousands of people from across the community.
Organizers say the march is more than a tradition, it is a chance for people from all walks of life to come together in a shared moment of reflection, unity, and healing.
Participants describe the experience as powerful and personal, offering an opportunity to connect with neighbors, celebrate what makes each person unique, and reaffirm the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
The march will end at Pittman-Sullivan Park, where a community celebration and program will follow.
San Antonio leaders say the event reflects the city’s deep pride in its diversity, culture, and commitment to honoring Dr. King’s message of equality and justice.
KENS 5 will have live coverage throughout the morning and will share updates from along the route and at Pittman-Sullivan Park.
