San Antonio resident claims winning Powerball ticket worth $2M

The winning ticket matched all five Powerball numbers on Saturday.

AUSTIN, Texas — A San Antonio resident has claimed a Powerball prize worth $2 million for the drawing on March15. 

The winning ticket was purchased at a QuikTrip located at 848 Hot Wells Boulevard, in San Antonio. The winner has decided to remain anonymous. 

The winning Quick Pick ticket with Power Play matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (12-28-33-36-54), but not the red Powerball number (5).

Powerball Grand Prizes currently start at $20 million and will rise until the jackpot is won. To win the Grand Prize, players must match five numbers from a field of 69 numbers and one Powerball number from a field of 26 numbers. 

Drawings for The Texas Lottery are broadcast each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT.
