The music lineup is as deep as ever as the rodeo celebrates 77 years in the Alamo City.
SAN ANTONIO — The return of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo brings another deep musical lineup, with musicians performing every single day at one of the biggest events of the year in the Alamo City.
And also, for these next few weeks, one of the best places in town to be if you’ve got your dancing shoes on.
Rodeo visitors will have two chances to catch headlining acts on Saturday. The noon rodeo will be followed by Ty Myers, an 18-year-old Austinite just a year removed from the release of his debut album, “The Select.” Rodeogoers might get an early listen at his newest music, too; Myers’ next album is due out in late March.
Evening rodeo competition will be followed by Grammy-nominated country band Midland, the local boys who formed in Dripping Springs. The group is best known for their 2017 hit “Drinkin’ Problem,” which reached No. 4 on the U.S. Country charts.
As with all rodeo concerts, Myers and Midland are both expected to start playing about 15 minutes after the end of their respective PRCA rodeo competition slots, which last about two hours. The concerts will each run between 60 and 75 minutes.
