The music lineup is as deep as ever as the rodeo celebrates 77 years in the Alamo City.
SAN ANTONIO — The return of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo brings another deep musical lineup, with musicians performing every single day at one of the biggest events of the year in the Alamo City.
And also, for these next few weeks, one of the best places in town to be if you’ve got your dancing shoes on.
Rodeo visitors will have two chances to catch headlining acts on Sunday. The noon rodeo will be followed by San Antonio’s own Pat Green, who is celebrating three decades of music. Over that time, he’s collaborated with icons like Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson and others.
Evening rodeo competition will be followed by country superstar Brad Paisley, fresh off the release of his latest album, “Snow Globe Town.” The owner of 14 U.S. Country No. 1 hits, Paisley has become a San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo mainstay; this will be his seventh appearance in the last decade.
As with all rodeo concerts, Green and Paisley are both expected to start playing about 15 minutes after the end of their respective PRCA rodeo competition slots, which last about two hours. The concerts will each run between 60 and 75 minutes.
