SAN ANTONIO — San Antonians are invited to one of the city’s most beloved cultural celebrations this weekend.
The 2025 Barbacoa & Big Red Festival will take place on Oct. 11-12 at the Freeman Coliseum Grounds and Expo Hall. Guests can expect two days of food, fun, local vendors, family-friendly activities, live music – and of course, barbacoa and Big Red.
A wide array of local and regional artists are scheduled to perform, including David Lee Garza y Los Musicales. Entertainers will be on either the inside or outside stages. Lineups can be found here.
Organizers said the annual festival brings together the rich flavors and vibrant traditions that define the city’s heritage.
General admission tickets start at $5 until Oct. 10. Prices will increase beginning Oct. 11. Kids 12 and under can enjoy the festival for free. Tickets available here.
Thomas J. Henry will be the title sponsor for the event. Attendees are encouraged to stop by the Thomas J. Henry Law booth to pick up free merch while supplies last.
“I’m honored to be part of an event that means so much to the people of San Antonio,” said Thomas J. Henry. “The Barbacoa & Big Red Festival is more than just great food and fun—it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and togetherness. That’s something I stand behind 100%.”
