Mitch Johnson:

“They’ve (Spurs starting five) had a couple of rough starts in the first and third quarters, and we wanted to see them step up. We knew they were capable of more, and we were not considering changing the lineup. We were just going to demand more of them, and they demanded more of themselves. And I thought in the first and the third quarter was a reflection that it was good to see

“I got to stay confident. I’m in my fifth year in the league, and felt, the more aggressive I am, not even just to score, but just to make plays, the better that we are playing. So just got to stay with it, but I appreciate my coaches and my teammates were just encouraging me, truthfully.”

“I think that’s my advice to any of the young guys coming to the league now, is you actually got to you got to get addicted to the process, you know? This is very time-consuming. It’s kind of boring, but you can’t rush the process, and you can’t skip steps.”
