Organizers say it will be an unforgettable holiday celebration with some fabulous, student-inspired winter wonderland activities.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio is ringing in the season once again with one of its most charming traditions: Holiday in the Village at La Villita, the city’s student-inspired winter wonderland that transforms the historic arts district into a festive escape.
If you’re looking for a place to soak up holiday cheer, this weekend is your chance to see a winter wonderland built by students.
The centerpiece of the celebration unfolds on Saturday in Maverick Plaza, where visitors will find an Alsatian-themed holiday village crafted by students from St. Philip’s College.
The handmade village sets the tone for a day filled with creativity, community and plenty of seasonal sparkle.
Families can stroll through swirling snow, snap photos with Santa and The Grinch, and explore hands-on activities that stretch from morning to evening.
Expect everything from Oaxacan hot chocolate-making and sweet treats to a giant gingerbread house competition.
The best part about the festivities? They’re all free from Friday through Sunday.
