SAN ANTONIO — A local teen battling terminal cancer saw her dream come true this weekend. She was able to celebrate her own quinceañera alongside her twin sister.
Dariella Foster and her twin sister had a big party Saturday night for their special day.
Back in October, their mother Damaris Gonzalez reached out online hoping to borrow two dresses for photos.
What she received instead was an outpouring of support.
Strangers donated money, and businesses offered free services, insisting the girls deserved more than pictures.
Gonzalez says she just wanted to make memories with Dariella, who has been battling bone cancer for about a year.
She says they just don’t know how much time they have with their daughter.
“We try to keep our spirits up, but deep down inside its heavy on my chest,” Gonzalez said. “With all this positivity coming from everybody, it’s helping me cope right now.”
