It may not be another LEGO filled theme park, but San Antonio kids and avid collectors of the plastic building blocks might be happy to know the Alamo City is getting a second standalone store. LEGO is planning a new location on the city’s Far Northside at the Shops at La Cantera, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The 3,377-square-foot store will be remodeled to fit the LEGO theme, which includes interior walls, partitions, floor fixtures, flooring, ceiling elements, and light fixture. If you’ve been to LEGO store, then you have some idea of what this will look like. There is currently one standalone LEGO Store in North Star Mall. You could also count the store inside the LEGOLAND theme park at River Center.

You can find most LEGO products at big box stores like Target or Walmart, but fans of the plastic bricks know there are exclusive sets you can only find at the name brand store. Some of those exclusives are the elven home of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings or a LEGO model of the Colosseum from Rome, Italy.

LEGO Stores also have a “Pick and Build” wall, letting you scoop from a variety of bricks to build your own custom creation. Stores also let you see a 3D model of the set you want before you build it with its “digital box” technology. All you have to do is scan the box in store.

The filing says construction is set to begin at the end of April and finish by mid-July.
