A woman faces an aggravated assault charge after police say she intentionally ran over a man twice in a San Antonio grocery store parking lot last August.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman has been arrested months after police say she intentionally struck and ran over a man in a grocery store parking lot on San Antonio’s southeast side.
According to an arrest warrant, the incident occurred last August at the H-E-B McCreless Market off South New Braunfels Avenue.
Investigators say 20-year-old Julianna Favella got into an argument with a stranger in the parking lot. When the 19-year-old man attempted to walk away while pushing a shopping cart, investigators say Favella got behind the wheel of a vehicle, accelerated and struck him, sending the shopping cart flying across the lot.
Detectives further allege that Favella then ran over the man a second time, stopping the vehicle with the victim trapped underneath.
Seven months after the incident, Favella was arrested and is now facing an aggravated assault charge.
