SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Zoo celebrated its youngest conservation champions during the 2026 Kids Zoo Ball, crowning this year’s King and Queen of the Jungle.
The annual event, presented by DOCUmation, brought families together for a night of fun, fundraising and wildlife education.
Diane Eckerle was named Queen of the Jungle, while Christopher Arce earned the title of King of the Jungle.
The full 2026 Jungle Court includes:

- Princess of the Jungle: Calliope DeLuccio
- Prince of the Jungle: Hudson Hill
- Duchess of the Jungle: Luna Hernandez
- Duke of the Jungle: Vaden McCaleb

- Lord of the Jungle: Sebastian Gutshall
The event featured a mocktail hour, dinner, a silent auction and kid-friendly activities including animal encounters, face painting and a dance party.
Through the Jungle Contest, participants raised more than $39,000 to support the zoo’s animal care, education programs and conservation efforts.
“We had an incredible time celebrating our young conservation champions,” said Tim Morrow. “Their passion and dedication truly make a difference.”
Organizers say the Kids Zoo Ball continues to inspire children to give back while supporting the zoo’s mission to protect animals and their habitats.
Community leaders say events like this not only raise funds but also help shape the next generation of conservation advocates.
