San Antonio Zoo hosts Eggstravaganza with Easter fun and golden egg prizes

Families can celebrate Easter weekend at the San Antonio Zoo with themed activities, music and a unique egg hunt experience.

SAN ANTONIO — Families are invited to celebrate Easter weekend at the San Antonio Zoo during its annual Eggstravaganza event.

The three-day celebration runs April 3 through April 5 and features festive activities, including photos with the Easter Bunny and Kids Bop Bunny Dance Parties on Friday and Saturday.

On Easter Sunday, the zoo will offer a twist on the traditional egg hunt. Instead of searching in one place, families can explore the zoo and collect treats from multiple themed stations featuring colorful egg piñata displays.

Guests can also take part in a special Golden Egg experience, with 12 hidden eggs placed throughout the zoo. Each one may contain prizes such as a one-year zoo membership, exclusive merchandise or special experience tickets.

In addition to the holiday festivities, visitors can explore the zoo’s exhibits and interactive experiences, including immersive habitats and up-close animal encounters.

Eggstravaganza is included with zoo admission and is free for members. Photos with the Easter Bunny require an additional fee.

Guests are encouraged to bring baskets and arrive early to take part in scheduled activities.
