San Antonio Zoo offers FREE admission for nurses and teachers

The zoo wants to show their appreciation during National Nurses Week and Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-12.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Zoo wants to show nurses and teachers how much they are appreciated by giving them free admission into the zoo all week!

In honor of National Nurses Week, the zoo is giving free admission to nurses, plus 50% off any day tickets for up to four guests. In addition, the zoo is also proud to support Texas teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week, Presented by H-E-B by giving educators the same deal of free admission.

Current nurses must show valid credentials or nurse IDs. Teachers must be an actively teaching in any school district in the state of Texas, a home school teacher, employed by an accredited pre-K-12 public, a private, or parochial school in the state of Texas, and provide a driver’s license as well as one of the following items and purchase tickets online:

  • Copy of Teacher’s Certificate
  • Photo ID/Badge from school district/school

This offer is for next week, May 6 until May 12 and not valid with any other offers, special events, or experiences.
