San Antonio’s 550 KTSA and FM 107.1 usher in new era with leadership changes

A major change is coming to San Antonio radio stations you know and love. Listeners may notice a few differences during their daily broadcasts as 550 KTSA and FM 107.1 welcome new leadership.

Connecticut-based company Connoisseur Media, which operates 216 U.S. radio stations across 47 markets, has taken control of several channels from Alpha Media following its acquisition of the entity earlier this summer.

The update went into effect on Wednesday, September 24, at around 11 p.m., according to 550 KTSA. It marks a major expansion to the company’s San Antonio portfolio, which already includes beloved entities like 94.1 San Antonio Sports Star, 102.7 JACK FM, Norteño 720AM/104.1 FM, WE 94.5, and Tejano 95.7.

“This is a big moment for our San Antonio team. That market is a vital part of our company, and Morgan and Dax have earned these roles through their hard work and passion for the business,” Jeff Warshaw, CEO of Connoisseur Media, said in an report by KTSA. “We’re excited to see them lead the next chapter.”

Leadership shakeups are happening behind the scenes, too. Connoisseur Media says Morgan Harrison, currently Director of Sales, will step into the role of Market Manager following the retirement of Lance Hawkins, who capped an 11-year career at Alpha Media.

Harrison has said that she was “incredibly honored and humbled” for this new chapter of life.

“I’m grateful to Jeff Warshaw for believing in me to help share his incredible vision, and to Lance Hawkins for his guidance and trust in me to fill the big shoes he leaves behind as he heads into retirement,” she told 550 KTSA.

Harrison is a Texas State University graduate, where she studied management, according to LinkedIn. She began her radio career at Cox Media Group.

Meanwhile, Dax Davis, currently Integrated Sales and Sports Programming Manager, will assume a new position as the Director of Sales while also maintaining his sports programming duties.

“It’s an honor to serve our talented and dedicated team of marketing professionals here in San Antonio,” Davis told the outlet, adding that he looked forward to building “lasting client and community relationships” while growing the company’s revenue share.

Davis is a Baylor University graduate who studied broadcast journalism, according to LinkedIn. His first radio role was at CBS in 2002. Both transitions go into effect on January 1, 2026, 550 KTSA reports.
