First responders will honor 9/11 victims by scaling a different venue for this year’s memorial climb.
SAN ANTONIO — For 13 years, San Antonio 110 has held one of the largest 9/11 Memorial climbs in the world. But this year, first responders will be scaling a different location to honor the fallen first responders from one of the most devastating days in American history.
On Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, first responders and citizens from all over the country will join together to pay tribute to the lives lost on that tragic day almost 24 years ago.
This year, due to the Tower of Americas being under renovations at the time, the climb will be moved to the Alamodome.
“We are so very grateful for the amazing support of the City of San Antonio and all of the Alamodome and staff in helping to ensure we continue on our mission and promise to Never Forget and honor our fallen brethren once again,” said Dawn Solinski, founder/director for San Antonio 110 1/11 memorial climb. “We couldn’t ask for a better venue for this year’s event.”
San Antonio 110 says the climb will pay tribute to all 344 fallen firefighters. Climbers will also carry 70 fallen law enforcement and 9 EMS tags on the way up.
Over 100 different agencies are expected to participate, including 600 first responders from across Texas and the country.
Participation is open to all, including first responders, military and citizens!
Registration for the Memorial Climb opens Tuesday, July 1:
- July 1: Director’s Special $25
- July 2 – 12: Early Bird $35
- July 13 – 31: General $50
