
Nama Ramen, a top San Antonio ramen spot, will close at the end of September after 10 years, expressing gratitude to patrons for their support.
SAN ANTONIO — One of San Antonio’s top ramen spots is closing its doors after 10 years in business.
Nama Ramen announced its final call on social media, saying the decision to shutdown was not a “choice made easily or with a light heart.” The sushi bar and Japanese ramen restaurant will close at the end of September or until they run out of supplies.
More than 2,200 users reacted to the post with nearly 250 comments and over 2,000 shares.
Nama Ramen opened in 2015, becoming known for their premium noodle dishes and generous sushi rolls. Reviews of Nama Ramen constantly praise their flavorful ramen broth and great atmosphere.
The San Antonio Current and other San Antonio publications named the restaurant as the top ramen spot in the Alamo City for consecutive years.
The post stated that the owners were grateful for their time spent serving San Antonians and the various opportunities they received because of their business.
“I struggle to find words to express my gratitude to all the guests that have support my dreams and goals this past decade. Thank you for giving me that reality,” the post said.
“Nama is coming to an end, but I promise this isn’t the last y’all will hear from me. Thank you for a great run San Antonio. It be an absolute pleasure to share one last meal with as many of y’all as possible.”
Nama Ramen is currently located at 6526 Babcock Road and will be open Monday through Saturday until its closure.
