SAN ANTONIO — San Antonians can taste flavors from around the world at one River Walk restaurant for the next three weeks.
Hard Rock Cafe launched the second annual World Burger Tour in June of 2025, offering customers unique burgers from over 150 locations world wide.
“It’s nice because we’re featuring a unique, limited offered menu that we don’t typically feature,” Deisey Guerra, Hard Rock’s Sales and Marketing Manager said.
“The World Burger Tour is Hard Rock’s global showdown between over 150 cafes worldwide, in which each cafe’s executive chef curates a burger with local flair.”
San Antonio’s location initially introduced their own hamburger, The Texas Whiskey Smoker. The burger was made with double beef patties, pepper jack cheese, a loaded potato croquette, sautéed jalapeños, bacon, garlic butter, and their signature Smoked Whiskey BBQ Sauce.
The World Burger Tour is currently in it’s next phase of the tour, offering the top five fan-favorite burgers from Florida, Milan, Barcelona, New York and Budapest. These burgers will be available until September 4 and the final winner will be announced September 5. The winning burger will be featured on the main menu until the next World Burger Tour in 2026.
Customers can cast their votes by ordering their favorite burger.
“All of these unique, curated burgers with unique local flair, they’re featured for a limited time only. So, now is the time to come and cast their vote,” Guerra said. “They can help us pick the final winner.”
The final five burgers were designed from all over the world including the Tampa Burger, also known as the Clash of the Titan, featuring two smashed burger patties, smoked Gouda cheese, bacon jam, garlic aioli, shoestring onions, sliced avocado and bacon jalapenos.
Another option, hailing from Italy, the Milan Burger, is described as “very elegant and simple” with provolone cheese, roasted Roma tomatoes, herb aioli, leaf lettuce and fresh basil.
Next, the Barcelona Burger which includes two smashed burger patties, manchego cheese, smoked paprika, mayo, chorizo jam, bacon, barbecue sauce and pickles.
There’s also the unique New York City Burger with two smashed patties, fried cheesecake bites, monterey jack cheese, bacon, garlic aioli, house-made barbeque sauce and topped with smokey onion drizzles.
“This one is nice and creamy and delicious and you can’t go wrong with the cheesecake bites,” Guerra commented.
The fifth burger, from Budapest comes with two smashed burger patties, pulled pork, house-made plum jam, cheddar cheese, truffle mayo and arugula.
And while Hard Rock employees say you can’t go wrong with any of the burgers, many have casted their own votes.
“I think the Tampa is my favorite out of these. I just love avocado on a burger. So, it has a nice variety of flavor and it’s well-balanced,” Guerra said.
